Service Engineer

Job Summary:

This role involves working closely with customers, senior engineers, and technical support teams to deliver high-quality service needs.

• Travel to customer sites (Universities, labs, research facilities) as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 0–3 years in equipment servicing (internships or hands-on training in laboratory/medical devices preferred).

Technical Skills:

• Basic understanding of electronic circuits, mechanical systems, and software interfaces.
• Familiarity with tools and diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Other: Valid driver’s license and readiness for occasional travel.

Preferred (But Not Required):

• Certification in equipment servicing (e.g., ISO, OEM training).
• Knowledge of laboratory workflows (clinical, pharmaceutical, or research environments).

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, calibration, preventive maintenance, and repairs on laboratory equipment (e.g., analyzers, centrifuges, autoclaves, spectrophotometers, PCR machines, etc.).
• Diagnose technical issues and provide timely solutions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Assist senior engineers in complex troubleshooting and system upgrades.
• Maintain accurate service reports, documentation, and inventory of spare parts.
• Provide basic user training on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines.
