The role ensures that all electrical works comply with technical specifications, statutory requirements, and client expectations while maintaining safety and quality standards.
The Electrical Project Manager serves as the main point of contact for the project’s electrical scope and oversees both design coordination and site execution.
Project Planning & Execution
Develop detailed project schedules, manpower plans, and cost estimates for electrical works.
Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs; identify scope gaps and opportunities for value engineering.
Coordinate with design and engineering teams for drawing submission and authority approvals.
Site Management & Supervision
Oversee on-site electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Ensure timely completion of works in compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Monitor daily site progress and resolve technical/site-related issues promptly.
Coordination & Communication
Act as the main liaison between the client, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
Chair project meetings related to electrical works and prepare progress reports for management and stakeholders.
Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers for timely delivery and execution.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure all electrical works are carried out in accordance with TNB, ST, MS IEC, and project specifications.
Implement and monitor quality control measures and project-specific QA/QC procedures.
Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and testing documentation.
Tender & Commercial Support
Support tender and pre-construction activities including cost analysis, technical submissions, and vendor sourcing.
Evaluate variation orders, manage project budgets, and provide input for project claims and VO submissions.- KWSP
