Finance Executive - Kuala Lumpur
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
- Strong skills in financial data consolidation with high proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong business acumen and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Experience with SAP CO and Power BI is a strong advantage
This role is responsible for managing finance-related activities for our client's operations in Singapore, while also providing partial support to the operations in Malaysia.
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented accountant to support day-to-day finance functions, ensure compliance with internal and external standards, and contribute to overall performance analysis.
Reporting directly to the Manager, Business Services, you will provide essential insights and financial documentation to support the Director of Operations Cluster and Director of Commercial Cluster in driving company performance in Malaysia.
General Ledger Management: Review accounting records, verify cost allocations, reconcile transactions, and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy and compliance. Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and ensure all supporting documentation is in place.
Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of financial reports in compliance with IFRS, the client's Company group reporting standards, and local statutory requirements. Summarize financial status by compiling and analyzing data to support decision-making.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare and manage budgets and forecasts for the cluster. Monitor and report on variances between budgeted and actual results, providing explanations and insights.
Tax Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations and reporting requirements. As well as covering any other related accounting & finance tasks as required by the Business Services Manager.
