The incumbent is responsible to manage an efficient and effective Underwriting team to support the Company’s business by assessing risks and approving or declining applicants within underwriting guidelines. The incumbent’s responsibilities include enhancing employees’ skills, performance, productivity and quality of work.
- Supports underwriting operation in ensuring the department meets the agreed section’s productivity and performance.
- Review, source and assess existing and new trainers, programs, learning materials and learning aids and resources to meet the company requirements.
- Monitors training programs and manuals to ensure that they are effectively and up-to-date and makes updates as necessary.
- Support reporting Team Leader in meeting agreed staff and section’s productivity and performance.
- Ensures section complies with all regulatory and corporate requirements.
- Involve in projects or any other assigned duties by Supervisor.
- To discharge the accountabilities as set out in the PruBSN AML Framework by identifying suspicious customers and transactions and report to Money Laundering Prevention Officer in a timely manner.
- A degree in Biomedical Science/Biology/Health Science or any field related to human biology or public health.
- More than 3 years in medical underwriting with good knowledge of medical conditions and financial knowledge.
- Possess the confidence to make decisions and solve problems.
